Castelli a Bolzano e dintorni

South of Ora, on a sparsely-wooden hillside, there is the magical location of Castelfeder . Here you will find the fascinating remains of ancient Roman walls, early Middle Age arched window openings, the so-called Kuchele, and, on the crest of the hill, the foundations of the tenth-century chapel of Sankt Barbara . The hill with its downy oaks provides a magnificent view to the south over the Adige valley . Castelfeder can also be reached by bike from the cycle track that follows the route of the old Val di Fiemme railway .
