Characteristics of the via ferrata: Alpine climb that requires a steady foot in particular in the mountain range near the summit of Piz Boè. In case of fog of fresh snowfall, orientation may become difficult near the Piz Boè.
Difficulty: short via ferrata with steep and difficult mountain sides, however the supports are always wet due to the little cascade nearby.
Access to the via ferrata: from the chair-lift station at 2,357 metres, the route will be well sign-posted to reach the Vallon via ferrata; moreover the path is well marked with red marks.
Technical details: short access, short ferrata, but the climb is long and descent is relatively long. The first stretch of the steel cables is in a bad state; the steep, more difficult sections are well-secured however.
Path type: 100% steel cables, 3 metre-long suspension footbridge.
Complete gradient of the climb: 620 m, 2-3 hours
Complete gradient until the beginning of the via ferrata: 120 m, 30 minutes
