Characteristics: The Croda Rossa di Sesto itinerary is long, worn and has steep stairs at the beginning of the ascent, most of it is walkable and there is little exposed space. A certain mountain climbing experience and a steady foot are highly recommended for this trip. On the north side, it possible to encounter snow remains until the beginning of summer. However with a swift change of weather in the beginning of autumn, wintery conditions can arrive early.
Access to the via ferrata: from the cable-car station descend towards the Rudi Rifugio, then along the path that crosses the fields until it reaches a crossroads (signposted). Carry on to the right as the path goes up and down along the buttress of the Coston di Croda Rossa and on the rocky peak you will arrive at the next crossroads. Continue to the left and you will arrive at the beginning of the via ferrata.
