Directions
Characteristics: Steep via ferrata, solid rocks with well-placed resting stops, and well-protected. The distances are short between the fixtures and there are frequent steel and tightened cables. The steep path towards the beginning is made easier with the help of a stairway. South facing, it is better to carry out the hike in late spring or late autumn (during sunny days).
Access to the via ferrata: from the path, arrive at the Dantercepies cable-car station that follows a dug-up road (that starts at Hotel Cir) or along the path on your left.
Technical details: via ferrata, short but steep, completely protected with steel cables, a short vertical gap at the end (some arm-strength is needed).
Path type: 100% steel cable.
Complete gradient of climb: 400 m, 1:30 hours
Complete gradient until the beginning of the via ferrata: 315 m, 30-45 mins.
Gradient of the via ferrata: 85m, 1 hour.
Descent: from the top, turn over the steep gap at the exit of the via ferrata, then follow the steel cables that go down to the crossroad between the fourth and fifth Cima Cir. Go down until the gorge (uneven stones and rubble) then carry on to the right until you reach the climbing path. 1 hour until Passo Gardena
