Informationen zu South Tyrol Museum of Mining - Site Steinhaus

Copper was mined in the Ahrn valley for half a millennium, with the mine administration located in the Steinhaus granary, the food store for the mine. This now houses a mining industry museum for the collection of the Enzenberg family, supported by a multimedia experience. Film reports of contemporary witnesses, wooden models, paintings, artistic mining maps, books, documents and finds from the mine allow visitors to retrace the history of the mining industry in the Ahrn valley.
