16,9 Kilometer und 1.333 Höhenmeter Nach dem Start beim Haus Sexten führt die breite Strecke über die Hauptstraße nach Sexten, von dort zurück ins Waldheim durch einen kleinen, lichten Wald. Vorbei an sommerlichen Blumenwiesen führt der Pfad bis zur Kreuzung beim Bad Moos, wo der erste Aufstieg beginnt. Durch die sattgrünen Lärchenwiesen des schönsten Tales der Welt, des Fischleintales, läuft man zur Fischleinbodenhütte und weiter zur Talschlusshütte. Kurz nach der Talschlusshütte auf der Wegkreuzung Bacherntal-Altensteintal geht es links weiter Richtung Zsigmondyhütte. Der selektive Serpentinenweg zur Zsigmondyhütte und weiter zur Büllelejochhütte auf 2.575 m wurde schon in den vergangenen Jahren zur Konditionsprobe und verlangt den Teilnehmern alles ab. Ab dem Büllelejoch geht es vor dem Paternkofel, oberhalb der Bödenseen weiter bis zum Ziel bei der Drei Zinnen Hütte.

Start Parkplatz dolomitenhof. Parkgebühr 5 Euro. An der talschlusshütte vorbei Richtung 3 zinnen Hütte. Weiter auf der Nordseite direkt unterhalb der 3 zinnen Richtung auronzohütte dann auf der Südseite wieder Richtung 3 zinnen Hütte. Abwärts gehts über büllelejochhütte, zsigmondy dann Richtung fischleintal.
