Winter hike: Völs am Schlern - Prösels

From the Kulturhaus the hike leads first in a southerly direction, following trail n. 6 along the settlement area. Immediately on the southern edge of the village you come to a crossroads, where the path branches off to the left and leads along the south facing foothills of Völs the main road. Cross it and continue to follow path n. 6 , past farmhouse Lenz, partly slightly uphill along meadow and apple orchards until you reach a wayside shrine. From here it goes slightly up and down, past farmhouse Peternader down to Rio Völs and on the farmhouses Seppelermüller and Trafisöler, where you cross the river Sciliar.
At the next fork leaye path n. 6 and follow path 3, which takes you past the farmhouse Hochrainer, over the Prösels meadows and pastures, up to the asphalt road, which you follow in a westerly direction to Castle Prösels.
