Die waldumrahmte, im Winter schneebedeckte Wieseninsel schaut weit über das Land hinein; die Aussicht umfasst beinah das gesamte Tal.
Von Pfalzen bei Bruneck (1022 m) den Markierungen 17 und 19 folgend auf der zum Kofler am Kofl führenden Straße hinauf zum Oberdorf bzw. links abzweigenden Nr. 19. Nun immer dieser folgend auf dem alten Fußweg durch den Wald durchwegs steil hinauf zum unteren Rand der steilen Wiesen von Platten, durch diese (bei tiefem Schnee und Fehlen einer Wegspur mühsam!) empor zu den östlichen Höfen des Weilers und auf der Straße kurz hinüber zum Gasthaus Lechnerhof (1600 m). Ab Pfalzen ca. 2:00 Std. Abstieg: auf dem beschriebenen Anstiegsweg oder, um die Wanderung zu einer Runde zu gestalten, auf der wenig befahrenen Autozufahrt.
