On the almost steadily level Höfestraße to the hamlet of
Approach from Sterzing via Wiesen to St. Jakob in Innerpfitsch (1446 m). From there, walk along the road on the valley floor, which is hardly used in winter, past the old church with its beautiful architecture and landscape, into the valley to a series of farms, continue into the valley to a second strip of forest and from there climb moderately up to Stein (1555 m, inn); from St. Jakbob a good 1 hour. Return to St. Jakob: either on the described outward route or on a path crossing the sunny slopes, the accessibility of which should, however, be enquired about on site, as it may not always be given in winter.
