From Pfelders to Lazins
Easy winter hiking to Lazins.
Approach from St. Leonhard in Passeier to Pfelders (1622 m). Now from the car parks into the village, follow the signs to the “Zwickauer Hütte” hut across the Talbach (road bridge) over to the sunny side, here immediately left following the signs “Lazins” to the valley station of a ski lift and then on the wide cleared track through meadow slopes slightly uphill to the group of houses Zeppichl (1676 m, guesthouses); From there, a short gentle climb through meadows and a stand of larches to a wayside shrine and then on the path, which is still mostly level, through meadow slopes into the valley to Lazins (1772 m; the inn is also open in winter):45 hrs. From there I recommend walking along the tracked path, which is also a cross-country ski run, into the valley to the end of the path at the head of the valley (approx. 1850 m, the nearby Lazinser Alm is closed in winter); from Lazins a good 0:30 hrs.
