A 4-part VF of various difficulty levels:

  • Inferiore B/C - the common starting point
  • Superiore C/D - keep right for this variation
  • Media C/D - then follow this part to the bridge
  • Difficile D/E - a harder variation to the left (meets up again at the bridge)

Author’s recommendation

Note: the Cable Car up is small & should be booked in advance to avoid waiting.

If you want to avoid the easy first section, just follow the trail up towards the finishing point & use the path down to the top of the Inferiore path, then go left...

After the finish continue on up the hiking path to the SAC Hut not far away. There are various routes back including a challenging Alpine Hiking route.

Safety information

Always wear a helmet & take a rest strap just in case. Note that there are resting points in-between each of the sections, plus some emeergency exits.

Tips and hints

Watch out for the overhang on the Media section near the end, some route maps class it as grade C (3) but really it is a little harder as you have to reclip while hanging, so I would say C/D or even D- (3/4) so not really for beginners unless accompanied - children should be roped.

The Difficle route is not that much harder than the Superiore variation, but is longer so takes more time, and IMO the views are not quite as nice.
