Rocky hill adventure .
The rocky landmark of Corvara and Kolfuschg seems impossible to conquer: Sassongher, rising like a watchtower above the Corvara valley, forms the south-eastern corner of the Puez group. It is part of the Puez-Geisler nature reserve. The route offers a special mountain experience for sure-footed hikers.

The walk up the Sassongher starts as you enter the Edelweiss valley at Kolfschug in Alta Badia (car park). Track No. 4 takes you into the Edelweiss valley. Walk past an inn with the same name, then left on to a track marked No. 7 which rises steeply (keep to the right at all times) to the Sassongher slopes. The path leads up to the Sassongher gorge which marks the beginning of the summit area. Approach the summit from the north via some narrow bends, an easy "ferrata" must be done. For the descent, follow the same route.
