Way of St. James South Tyrol - 4th stage - Niedervintl to Franzensfeste

From Niedervintl, the 4th stage of the Way of St. James starts first on the cycle path in the direction of Mühlbach. The hiker passes the Mühlbacher Klause and always continues to Mühlbach in the centre. At the church straight ahead and follow the cycle path über the Vallerbach. Über the Katharina-Lanz-Straße you then reach the path 9A (Stöcklvaterweg), which you follow to the Süden to the crossroads with path No. 9. It continues via the Viumer Kreuz cross to Schabs. On trail no. 8 always continue in the direction of Neustift to the cheese settlement. Pass the Strasser Hof farm and take trail no. 4 down to Neustift to the monastery. After the monastery, cross the Eisack river over the old bridge, turn right and follow trail no. 1 to the state road. Go around the lake on the eastern shore until you reach the cycle path that runs parallel to the motorway. Follow this path to Franzensfeste.
