A round itinerary walkable most of the year and suitable for everybody, in particular for all families looking for short and easy hikes. This itinerary will take us together with some information panels to discover the typical features of the woodpeckers’ world.The typical environment of the woodpeckers is the wood, as it is a place where they can eat, grow the babies and live safe. The trees in the larch wood on this path are not too close one to the other, so the offer a very good view even if this kind of environment (the wood) is usually not the best one for sighting. With some patience and a little but of luck you will be able to have a closer look to woodpeckers flying from one tree to the other looking for some food, searching the area and singing their typical song.

Turn-by-turn directions
At the parking in the place Cavallar this itinerary starts going lightly uphill towards the mountain farms Malga Terzolasa, Malga Samocleva and Malga Caldesa and crossing a typical larch wood. At the fourth hairpin turn on the forest road going to the mountain farms, then take a minor road which takes to the little valley Valle del Rio Corvo (creek Corvo). At the creep go downhill on the forest road which will take you back to the parking.
