Oachner Höfeweg circular trail
On the Oachner Höfeweg are some of the most beautiful farms in the Schlern region. Original architecture has been preserved here in exemplary fashion.
The starting point of the Oachner Höfeweges is the well-known Prösels Castle in the small hamlet of Glechnam not far from Völs am Schlern. The Oachner Höfewweg, which is signposted throughout, leads through a fascinating cultural landscape to St. St. Kathrein, back you take trail no. 5 to the Schnaggenkreuz and on to Prösels. There is a car park below the castle, from where hiking trail no. 3 leads first through meadows, then through woods, in a westerly direction. After about 20 minutes, the Oachner Höfeweg branches off to the right at the so-called Wirtskeller. The Wirtskeller, today a partially restored ruin, is the former cellar of the innkeeper in Prösels. The trail leads past the Riefer, Flunger and Dosser farms in the direction of Mitter- and Unterpsenner and finally to the Gmoaner wine tavern in Unteraicha. From here you have an excellent view over the Tiers valley to the Rosengarten. The trail now turns east and winds its way through the cultivated landscape high
