A long time ago in the Val de Misdé, which clambers up the huge Sella wall from Colfosco to the Boé, there lived a nymph. She was young, beautiful and loving. She would spend the summer in the valley, amidst the rocks, and only those who climbed up to the Pisciadú or the Boé could catch sight of her.

Find out the whole legend in the book: "Walking through an enchanted land" available in the tourist offices.

Turn-by-turn directions

The start is in Colfosco (1645 m) at the tourist office - Str. Pecëi. From here, walking along the pavement, you reach the hotel Luianta where path number 651 leads you to the entrance of the Val Mezdí. Here you walk uphill until the Dënt de Mezdí where path number 651 crosses path number 676 to the Pisciadú mountain hut. You continue southwardly and climb uphill the arduous wall equipped with metallic ropes – pay attention, it is frequently covered with snow and ice. Once arrived at the plateau at the bottom of the Col Toronn you proceed on the comfortable path in direction of the Boé – Bambergerhütte mountain hut.
You can return to Colfosco following the same itinerary.

If you want to walk through the Val Mezdí only downwards, you can take a public bus from Colfosco to the Passo Pordoi where the cable car Passo Pordoi brings you up to the Maria hut. From here the well marked path number 647 leads you to the Boé – Bambergerhütte hut from where you start descending the Val Mezdí.
