Circular hike Firstboden (Expedition Tschinglen)

The Tschinglen expedition leads directly into the UNESCO World Heritage Tectonic Arena Sardona to the wildly romantic alp with its original flora and imposing mountain scenery. the railroad takes the hiker partly over 200 meters high above the imposing Tschinglen gorge to the Tschinglen alp.  Once at the top, the landscape changes. Splashing mountain streams, thundering waterfalls, lush mountain meadows as well as several old wooden barns with the cozy mountain inn await you.

The highlight is certainly the Firstboden. From there you can enjoy a magnificent panoramic view over the Sernftal and the Tschinglenhörnern with the Martinsloch, as well as the clear line of the Glarner Hauptüberschiebung. A fireplace and a log cabin with a view of the overthrust invite you to linger.

The way back leads above the Elmer Bergsturz back to the Tschinglen-Alp. Here, a head for heights is a prerequisite in some places. Way back on foot down the Tschinglen gorge to Elm
