Burkhardklamm
The trail to the Burkhardklamm gorge at the head of the Ridnaun valley is short, but quite intense.
The Burkhardklamm gorge at the head of the Ridnaun valley was opened up in 1899. After the First World War, paths and bridges fell into disrepair. The panorama path, which once served as a carrier path for the shelters, is accessible again. The Burkhardklamm gorge is located on the Fernerbach stream in the Sennerberg in Ridnaun/Maiern. The gorge can be reached in approx. 45 minutes, starting from the mining museum in Maiern, via the already existing trail no. 9. The panorama trail offers, as its name suggests, several vantage points into the impressive mountain world of the Stubai Alps and crosses bridges where you can experience the natural force of the water up close! The trail ends at the water barrier at Aglsboden, where you can continue on trail no. 9 to the well-known shelters - Grohmannhütte, Teplitzerhütte and Becherhaus - or return to Maiern.
