This itinerary first heads into the woods along a groomed road followed by a trail. At the tree line, you will find a vast plateau and Malga Fevri with a stunning view of the Brenta Dolomites to one side and the Adamello glaciers to the other. The panorama here will take your breath away! From here, the itinerary continues along a false flat that is exposed to sunlight throughout the day until you reach Rifugio Graffer and the ski slopes. Take the lift (300m to the south) for the return trip.

Author’s recommendation

Rest area with food service at Rifugio Graffer.

At the end of the excursion, you can take the Grostè gondola lift at the intermediate station or ski down along the nearby ski run to get back down the mountain.

Safety information

Important: Sections of the itinerary run along the  alpine skiing runs and toboggan run. We recommend you keep to the edges of the trail to not hinder oncoming skiers.

Experience walking along irregular mountain trails is recommended. In the event of fresh snow, snowshoes are also recommended. Be careful of ice when temperatures are particularly low. As you might imagine, the accessibility of these mountain trails depends entirely on the conditions found at any given time, such as the weather and other natural and environmental conditions. Therefore, before you set out, you should check the status of the trail by contacting alpine guides, lodge operators, or the local tourist office or park information office.

Turn-by-turn directions

From the station of the cable car Spinale reach (on foot) via Fevri and take the street north direction until the end. Here, on the right, take the path, continue uphill, paying attention to skiers, pass Piazza Imperatrice (30 min) and go on till Spinale 2 chairlift. Here leave the forest road and follow the itinerary in the wood in order to avoid the toboggan slope. Go on following the itinerary to reach Malga Fevri, 1.950m (40 min). Turn right and start crossing the plateau. e route proceeds gradually southwards to avoid the steep slope visible from a distance. Now turn right to reach Lago Spinale 2.036m, beyond which a short ascent leads to Campo Centener, 2.080m (40 min). Leave the high plateau on the left and, passing over a saddle, proceed keeping low in the little valley that leads further towards the east to a point where it is easier to pass the slope above. Climb up the slope to reach the Rifugio Graffer quickly, 2.270m (40 min). To return to Madonna di Campiglio follow the same route backwards, or go to the intermediate station of the Grostè cable car and take it down to the valley. It is possible to descend the slope skiing.
