Planeiler Alm

Tour by Reto Wiesler. Cross the picturesque, quaint village of Planeil and hike on the Almweg (Mark. 6), slightly ascending through the high valley along the Punibach stream in the direction of the Planeiler Alm. At the Petersettes farm, a bridge leads to the left over the Puni. On the alpine path you gain more and more altitude through a larch forest. Shortly before the alpine pasture, you cross a small valley and soon you reach the Planeiler Alm on a long slope. Here you have a wonderful view of the Münstertal, the Sesvenna group, the Ortler group and the valley of Glurns. A long rest and pure enjoyment are the order of the day. The descent from the Planeiler Alm is the same as the ascent.
