Long road bike tour from the Merano area into the Überetsch and Trentino regions
Starting in the blossoming Etschtal valley near Gargazon, not far from Merano, the circular tour leads from Sigmundskron (240 m) along the cycle path to the Mendelstrasse and in countless long hairpin bends to the Mendelpass (1363 m), down into the Nonstal valley and in another ascent to the Gampenjoch (1518 m), where it is still rather wintry. On the descent to Lana, the temperature stratifications become particularly noticeable.
