It’s our first day together and even though the climb to the Mendel Pass is of particular beauty and therefore often the timed stretch for the Giro delle Dolomiti but also the Tour of the Alps and the Giro d’Italia, we thought it would be too early to measure our physical condition and decided to do a long climb from Fondo to the Palade Pass on the frontier between Alto Adige Südtirol and the Province of Trento. Also the Tour of the Alps did the same stretch last year, we will let you know how long it took them :-) After regrouping on the Pass we cycle on road of the Adige Valley back to Bolzano for Lunch.
