High on the Ritten, you can enjoy views over the Eisack Valley and across to the Dolomites of the Egg Valley.

Start from Terlan to get a few warm-up metres (12 km) into your legs before climbing towards Ritten. Take the SS 38 to Bolzano and turn left along the Moritzinger Weg ➊ to the district of Gries. At Grieser Platz ➋ turn right and continue through Freiheitsstraße e to the Talferbr cke. Here turn right to the Etsch cycle path, then upstream and follow the signs to the railway station. Go past the station ➍ to Rittner Straße, then turn right into Rentscher Straße. Ritten is signposted. At the junction ➎ turn left and after 2 km after the Ritten junction turn left again ➏ towards Signat. The trail continues uphill until Wolfsgruben/Oberbozen ➐, then you reach the main road of the Ritten ➑. Left to Klobenstein, through there and always on towards Barbian ➒, then to Klausen. After the descent into the Eisacktal, briefly on the Brenner state road ➓, then left onto the cycle path and back to Bolzano. Follow the cycle path along the Eisack river through the city.
