05 - Panoramic loop above the Merano valley basin
Perfect tour for apple blossom in spring or even late in autumn. This loop in the Merano valley basin with views over the valley floor and across to the east side with the striking red hump of the Knottenkino can still be ridden on nice dry days in November, as the maximum altitude in Tisens remains below the 700 m mark.
From the centre of Naturno, take the Bahnhofstra;e to the Etschbrück on the Etschdammradweg ➊ towards Meran. In Töll ➋ cross the main road and take the cycle path downhill to Algund to the swimming pool. Cross the prominent wooden bridge ➌ ücke, turn left at the next crossroads to the Forst brewery. At the brewery, cross the main road ➍; climb towards Marlengo. Through Marlengo downhill towards Tscherms and Lana. Turn into road ➎ and follow the road in the direction of Lana. At the second roundabout ➏ turn right towards Gampenpass. Ascend until the turnoff to Tisens, there turn left ➐ downhill to Tisens and continue to Prissian. From Prissian steep descent to Nals ➑, continue towards Merano. At the roundabout petrol station ➒ turn left into a dirt road, past the Pircher and Kati ➓ snack stations to Lana ⓫. In Lana in the direction of Tscherms and Marling. From the roundabout in Lana, the same route as the outward route: via the forest and cycle path back to Naturns.
