You leave from Camposampiero or from Venice to retrace the itinerant life of Friar Antonio. This way, you follow the steps of the preacher backwards, who from 1221 to 1231 was sent to evangelise the people of Northern Italy. From Padua, where he died, 21 legs wind through cities and villages that have witnessed the Saint, up to touching upon his first Italian residence, the hermitage of Montepaolo (FC). The last eight legs go up the Apennines until they reach La Verna, centre of Franciscan spirituality.

The last pilgrimage in the life of Friar Antonio, took place on 13 June 1231, starting from the Santuari Antoniani of Camposampiero, then onto the Santuario dell’Arcella which preserves the Cella del Transito to reach the Basilica of the Saint. In about 24 km you will alight upon three very significant sites from the point of view of faith, art and history.
