Vals Valley Alpine Hut Tour

From the car park opposite Hotel Sonneck near Schabs, the road is not steep but climbs well up to the village of Spinges at the entrance to the Vals valley. However, we do not go directly into the village, but continue straight on at the junction up to the Bild weather cross (car park and end of the asphalt road). The forest trail no. 9 to the Anratterhütte in the Valser Tal (towards the Jochtal mountain station), which starts here, is sometimes quite challenging: some steep passages require muscle power, and if you are not in good shape, you sometimes have to push.
