This tour is suitable for families as well as for sporty mountain bikers, as it has variants for every taste.

Mountain bikers have two options for the tour. For families with children and for connoisseurs, the variant through the Passeier Valley along the river bank to St. Martin is suitable. On this slightly ascending path we pass numerous villages, such as Riffian and Saltaus, and can enjoy the charming nature with mountain scenery to the full. In St. Martin in the Passeier Valley, a cosy stop awaits us at the Gasthof Passerblick. From this point we can return the same way to Merano. For trained mountain bikers, the continuation of the tour after arriving in St. Martin is also suitable. If we opt for this variant, we cover no less than 800 metres in altitude on the following 8 km to the Pfandleralm, so that sporty riders get their money's worth. The Pfandleralm is not just an alpine pasture, it was a refuge for the famous Tyrolean freedom fighter Andreas Hofer, which is why it is also of great historical importance. Afterwards, we return to Merano via St. Martin along the already familiar
