The Karersee Tour
After the start, turn right into Romstra;e, which takes you to Gummer. Continue to Pension Erna, at the end of the village turn right uphill onto the Taufenweg Nr. 2A, which leads to the Rücken between Gummer and Steinegg. After a steep tarred ascent, turn left onto the Taufenweg. Leaving the spruce forest, you will see the Zipperle-Säge at the top right, to which you continue uphill. From there, the tour turns left via the Lchenwald farm to the Ritsch, and continues to the right towards the Schillerhof (trail no. 1). In this way you circle the Taltbühel on its northern side and reach the Wolfsgrubenjoch. From there, it is only a few minutes on an easy gravel path to the Schillerhof. The onward route to the Niger Pass is relatively easy and has only slight differences in altitude. When you reach the Niger Pass, you roll briefly to the right and look forward inwardly to the last few metres of ascent. On the old toboggan run, the GPS device measures exactly 200 metres of ascent
