Hard, harder, Sellaronda
The long Sellaronda Hero trail is one of the most challenging mountain bike routes in the Dolomites at over 80km and a total eleveation gain of 4000m.

And it is certainly one of the most beautiful too! The long Sellaronda Hero trail leads you right through the UNESCO World Heritage Site of the Dolomites. Starting in Wolkenstein (Selva Gardena), the Sellaronda Hero runs along the Gardena pass down to Corvara, back up to Pralongià and through Arabba up to Sourassass. It continues along forest paths, steep trails and through forest and alpine pastures to the Pordoi pass, down to Canazei and back up to the Duron pass (Mahlknechtjoch). From here it descends across the expansive Seiser Alm and finally down a rapid trail into the Gardena valley and back to the starting point in Wolkenstein. Only 11km of the whole of the long Sellaronda Hero trail are on asphalt. The remaining 70 are on singletracks and forest paths around the Sellastock mountain and the Langkofel group. A unique experience, but only for well-trained mountain bikers.
