Schenna-Cross
A classic in the "Meraner Land". Thanks to the sunny orientation and depending on the winter weather conditions, this tour can be done all year round.
From the (1) Terme Merano (325 m) in an easterly direction to Elisabethpark. On the cycle path into the Passeier Valley, on a moderate incline, past the (2) Lazag biotope, the (3) Riffian sports field, to the (4) „Riffianer Brücke“. Cross the bridge and turn right onto the gravel road, following the signs to Schenna 11A. Past the Maiser Waalweg, steeply uphill, you reach the (5) Schenna tourist office (578 m). Immediately at the tourist office keep to the right until you reach the crossroads not far from the (6) mini golf course, turn left in the direction of St. Georgen. After about 1 km you reach the crossroads at (7) Mühlhaus; turn right and follow the forest road with the signs „Bergbahn Meran 2000“. Initially on a slight incline, after a short descent you reach the building (8) „Egger Sanitär“, not far from the car park of the (9) Merano 2000 cable car (640 m).
