It was beautiful. That's what you want to say after every bike tour. This tour in the Vinscher Oberland is not for technical freaks, but it is a wonderful combination of steep and enjoyable passages in the midst of wonderful scenery. Simply to do again.

The tour begins in St. Valentin auf der Haide. At the car park of the valley station of the gondola lift we come across the sign „Haider Alm Nr. 9“. The asphalt road leads up to the hamlet of Plagött, where it turns into a forest road. This section leaves nothing to be desired in terms of steepness, but also in terms of unique views down to Lake Haider and over to the Ortler (if it is not covered in clouds). Trail no. 9 then leads the hikers partly through steep forest, but we stay on the forest path. At an altitude of around 1900 metres we have to pay attention for a short while. The forest road goes straight on, but we keep to the left and go up the wide track (ski slope in winter). Only strong cyclists can manage this section in the saddle. After a few hundred metres, however, the path is well passable again. Shortly below the Haider Alm, forest path no. 18 branches off to the right. We make a short detour to the alp (refreshment stop), turn around, then turn onto trail 18 and enjoy
