The short tour takes us to one of the most beautiful vantage points on the Sonnenberg high above the Vinschgau Valley, the Laaser Großboden. Here an impressive view of the magnificent glacier world around the Ortler opens up to us.

We ride through the unique, barren steppe landscape of the Sonnenberg on wide forest paths over the Laaser Leiten up to the Laaser Großboden. Here we are rewarded with a magnificent panorama. Our view stretches across the Vinschgau Valley to the high peaks of Ortler, Königspitze and Zufallspitze surrounded by glaciers. A short, easy trail finally leads us down through the forest towards the valley.

Tour start in Laas. Past the St. Sisinius Church. Cross the Vinschgau state road (SS38). Take the forest path (path no. 20) in the direction of Eyrs. At the fork in the forest road, keep to the right (do not continue to follow trail no. 20). Junction with trail no. 18a. Through the Laaser Leiten and over the Loretzboden to the Laaser Großboden. Continue to the junction with trail no. 23 and change to trail no. 18b. Trail to the junction with the road. Past the Maria Heimsuchung church and via Allitz back to Laas.
