The municipality of Castelrotto is made up of different towns and hamlets situated between Val d’Isarco, Val Gardena and Alpe di Siusi. Its altitude makes it the perfect starting point for many diverse cycling excursions.

This itinerary does not lack beautiful views that go from the valley floor passing through the Isarco until the entrance of the Val Gardena. This itinerary unwinds mainly along scarcely frequented secondary roads and forestry trails which give you the opportunity to enjoy the surrounding nature. The most demanding segment of this itinerary is the ascent from Rio di Tisana (the lowest point of the itinerary) to Telfen. The short single trail after Tisana is quite demanding and requires an appropriate technique to be travelled safely. For those who are interested in more cultural activities you can stop at the Mulino Malenger in S.Vigilio at the Museo Contadino museum of Maso Tschötscher in S.Osvaldo. Itinerary description ➊ 1050 m, starting point at the station downline of the Marinzen chair lift in Castelrotto. Along path N.8 you reach Tioselles, carry on until the road that takes to Passo Pinei; from here descend towards the left to the Schgaguler hamlet then to the right
