On trails and cart tracks over the Lüsner Alm
The tour leads us on beautiful, but partly technically demanding and exposed trails over the Plose and the Lüsner Alm. We are rewarded for the strenuous ascents with a stunning panorama.

Distance 68.1 km
Despite the cable car ascent to Plose, the tour is physically demanding. Right at the beginning there is a steep carrying passage, but this is rewarded with a fantastic trail. Technically, the trail from the Plose down to the Rodelalm is relatively difficult. If you are willing to accept an additional 200 metres of ascent, you can also bypass this section via the Gableralm. After the strenuous climbs to the Würzjoch and the Maurerberghütte, the route continues on easier but very beautiful trails and cart tracks over the summit of the Col dal Lech and the deep blue Glittersee across the Lüsner Alm. Here we have the opportunity again and again to enjoy the impressive panorama.

Turn-by-turn directions
From Rodenegg Castle we first cycle on asphalt paths in the direction of Lüsen. A short carrying passage then leads us to a trail on which we ride down into the Lüsen valley. We continue on less frequented side roads to St. Andrä and uphill to the valley station of the Plose cable car. After the ascent with the cable car, we first follow a gravel path in the direction of the Rossalm, before we reach the Rodelalm via trails no. 17a and no. 4 on a challenging, partly exposed trail. A short pushing passage is secured with wire ropes. From the alp we first go downhill, then uphill again to the Würzjoch (1987 m). After another descent, we continue on a gravel path up to the Maurerberghütte (2120 m). Now we follow trail no. 1 on a beautiful trail to the Lüsner Joch and further up to the Col dal Lech (2175 m). We have to push the last part to the summit before we enjoy a very nice trail down to the Glittnersee lake. At the lake we do not go up to the Glittner Joch, but follow a clearly visible trail to the Wieseralm. From here we continue on partly rough gravelled paths via the Jakobsstöckl, the Grünfelder Alm and the Starkenfeldhütte to the Ronerhütte. Shortly after the hut, we turn onto trail no. 2. We follow this to the junction with the road to Rodeneck, on which we descend to the district of Vill and continue to Rodenegg Castle.
The technically demanding trail from the Plose to the Rodelalm can be bypassed via the Gableralm. To do this, we ride on a gravel path via the Rossalm up to the Gableralm and on a trail back down to the Rodelalm. The bypass, however, costs us about 200 additional metres in altitude.
Restaurants are available at the Rodelalm, on the Würzjoch, at the Maurerberghütte, at the Starkenfeldhütte and at the Ronerhütte.
