A beautiful but long full-day tour with many variations above Merano. Perfect for all those who like to gain metres in altitude and don't want to miss out on good food and a great panorama.

From the car park in Schenna, follow the road slightly uphill for 3.5 kilometres to Verdins. After the cable car, take the road on the left, initially briefly downhill, then over the Masulbrück bridge, through a tunnel (lit up later) and further up the road. At an altitude of approx. 1400 metres you reach a crossroads where you continue along the right-hand road to Videgg (charging station for e-bikes). At the end of the hamlet, a forest path leads uphill to the Videgg Asses, where you have a fantastic view of the Burggrafenamt and the Texelgruppe. After a stop for refreshments at the Videgger Assen hut, you return along the same path to the hamlet of Videgg. Directly at the entrance to Videgg, turn left onto a forest path and follow it downhill until you reach an asphalt road. Follow this road in the direction of Pichler/the Taser cable car valley station, pass it and return to the starting point. Tour provided by: Stephan Höfler
