About Kaltern
Mountain bike tour on the high trail above Kaltern.

This tour starts from Kaltern on the cycle path in the direction of Eppan. At Kreuzweg turn onto the Mendelpass road and follow it. Shortly after the first bend (red house), turn left onto trail 9, first slightly uphill and then steeply downhill on a fast trail. You cross the funicular railway from Kaltern (Mendelbahn) and reach the Kalterer Höhenweg. Continue on trail no. 9 to the Ziegelstadl, cross the Altenburgerbach stream and immediately turn left on trail no. 98, descending steeply in places to Altenburg. Follow the Altenburgerstrasse briefly in the direction of Kaltern and then turn right into the forest onto the Friedensweg. On a rather demanding path (10A) in the direction of Lavardi, which you can also bypass on the right on the forest road (marker 10).
