"On the Planet Trail, leave Mars on the right and past Jupiter on the left behind the bend." What reads like a road book for cosmonauts is merely an orientation guide in the Rosengarten-Latemar area on the way to the observatory in Gummer.
This is where South Tyrol's only public observatory stands, named after the Tyrolean aviation pioneer Max Valier. The Planetary Path is intended to make it possible to experience the relationships in the solar system and runs thematically through the network of hiking trails between Gummer and Steinegg. Even if bikers cannot grasp the entire didactic scope due to their speed, it remains a very interesting tour. With the exception of two short pushing passages, varied trails and idyllic forest paths entice you. At the Wiedenhof snack station you can enjoy biker noodles!
