MTB itinerary from Merano through Lana on the Monte S.Vigilio.

This tour starts at the Piazza Stazione square in Merano towards south through the via Leopardi until the hippodrome. From here until Marlengo, along the country lane until Ciermes. Along the main road until Lana then take the via Ultimo road to the right. Carry on along this road for a few hairpin turns then go right on the forestry road until the natural educational and cultural Aicha path. Turn right at waymark 34 and go uphill until the Pavicolo road. Ride along this scarcely trafficked asphalt road until Pavicolo. Bear right in direction of the uphill station of the Monte S.Vigilio funicular railway. After the station starts the Egger path (Marking 31) until Almboden. Briefly travel this path then take the Jochweg path (marking 35) to the right. Here you will encounter technical trails. From Marlengo return to the starting point in Merano.
