Guaranteed breathtaking landscape
The Alta Via di Appiano is a track that goes between Macaion and Penegal.

This Mountain Bike itinerary along the Alta Via Appiano starts at the piazza Municipio in San Michele/Appiano. Initially along the Cappuccini Street until you reach the main road towards Predonico. Along the road until Piazzetta. Bear left to the Masaccio road and proceed until Steinegger. Proceed along the 8B annular trail until you meet the Predonico main road. Travel the main road uphill until you reach “Kreiter”. Take the trail to the left alongside the N.8 in direction of “Aigner Bergwiesen” across the Pichlerhof farm house then carry on until the Buchwald hotel.  Continue uphill until “Pfrauner Boden” (highest point). From here, continue downhill through the Hochbuch woods until you cross the Alta Via di Appiano N.9. On the Alta Via proceed until Rio Forcolona and then downhill the 540 until Steinegger. On the 8B trail and the Schulthaus trail go downhill until Piganò.  Finally, along the Sant’Anna path return to the centre of San Michele/Appiano.
