On this mountain bike tour we cycle up to the Alpe di Siusi, where we find numerous opportunities to stop for refreshments and take in the magnificent panorama of the Dolomites.
We start our mountain bike tour in Compatsch and cycle a nice loop on the Alpe di Siusi. The entire tour does not have any too long climbs and offers the opportunity to recover on several descents. Especially between the Mahlknechthütte and the Tirler Dolomites Living Hotel, we cycle rapidly downhill and regain our strength before tackling the following uphill altitude iterations.
On gravel and hiking trails we cycle past the Hotel Goldknopf, the Almrosenhütte, Mahlknechthütte and the Tirler Dolomites Living Hotel, all of which we can stop at. At the hotels and alpine huts and during the entire loop, we have unique views of the peaks of the Dolomites. We recognise the Geislergruppe, the Langkofel and Plattkofel as well as the Schlerngruppe, to name just a few of the surrounding mountains.
Europe's largest high alpine pasture with its beautiful panoramas is well suited to get an impression of the beautiful South Tyrolean landscape and the Dolomites.
