Tour from Pfatten over the "Kreither Sattel" (Kreither pass) to Montiggl and down a short, steep trail

Starting at the Hof Mair guesthouse at the edge of the valley floor, the tour heads along a tar road through orchards to Pfatten and on to the Laimburg castle junction. Turn right here and ride steeply uphill to the Kreither Sattel. Turn left and head towards the Leuchtenburg castle on a gravel path. Then turn right onto trail 13 down to Klughammer at Lake Kaltern (Kalterer See). Continue on the asphalt road across the Unterberg to Montiggl. Ride uphill to the large car park and then around the little Montiggler lake on trail 1A. Next take the path down to the large Montiggler lake, branch off to the left and follow trail 5A briefly uphill to the Kreither Sattel. This is where the steep and rocky descent back to the starting point begins.
