“Sentiero delle Leggende” (legends path)
Mountain bikers enjoy a much easier experience than climbers on this route. There is no need for safety ropes or harnesses for bikers, and relatively little effort is required to enjoy breathtaking views onto Sesto and the wide Val Pusteria once the highest point of this route is achieved.

The downhill section follows a “Sentiero delle Leggende” (legends path), with wooden statues and illustrations alongside the path. It is recommended that the descent is taken slowly – for once – to enjoy some of the artwork. The first section of the downhill is the steepest and requires extra attention! In winter Sesto Pusteria – located in the eastern part of the Alto Adige region – is an authentic skiing paradise, while during the summer it is a beloved destination for hikers, climbers and outdoor enthusiasts. This is not surprising considering the tre cime (three peaks), a world famous mecca for climbers, is just on the doorstep. equally beautiful but slightly overshadowed by the tre cime are the Lista and croda dei toni mountains. Itinerary description From the town hall of ➊ Sesto (1300 m) stay on the paved road to the church, following signage to Monte elmo; after about 2 km turn right at the fork and reach ➋ Hotel Panorama (1560 m). on a nice forest road still following
