Sunny mountain meadows
The locals call the sunny mountain meadows of Stuls, which lie above the tree line, "Stuller Mader". The Eggergrubalm is located above the tree line, nestled on a wide expanse of meadows. The advantage of this location is obvious; a breathtaking panorama, far into the Pfelder valley with its three-thousand-metre peaks, out into the Etsch valley and east to the peaks of the Sarntal Alps.

From (1) Moos (1007 m) drive back to the Timmelsjoch road, drive up the road in the direction of Timmelsjoch until the turn-off to Stuls. Turn right and continue to (2) Stuls (1332 m); from Moos, it is a good 4 km. Just before the church of Stuls, keep left (sign Eggergrubalm). Along the narrow mountain road, you reach the (3) Morx Puite snack station (1570 m). Always uphill, follow the asphalted road for a short distance. After a few hairpin bends you come to a junction, keep left and take the (4) forest road to the day's destination and return point, the (5) Eggergrubalm (1943 m). Return to Moos along the ascent route.
