From Bolzano to the larch meadows of the Salten

The MTB tour starts in Bolzano on the road to Jenesien. It starts off steeply uphill, goes through the first tunnel and then immediately turns right to the Reichrieglerhof farm. Pass it on the right and rejoin the main road, go through another tunnel and up to the turnoff to Glaning. Here turn left through the tunnel and along the tarred road no. 9 to Unterglaning or Oberglaning until you reach the Locher inn. From the Locher, continue on no. 2, past the Wieser inn and up on trail no. 10 in the direction of Salten. On the Salten plateau, this joins trail no. 1/7A, which leads to the Schermoos car park. From the car park, take trail no. 5 up to the Lanzenschuster inn. The Rückweg is first on the outward trail to Schermoos and a little further, then turn right onto trail 7A to the Gschnofner Stall. From here continue on trail no. 12, which in turn leads to trail no. 10. As on the way out, return via the Wieser to the Locher. From the Locher, go down a little on the tarred road,
