This mountain bike tour offers fun for the whole family and takes us through the Sesto valley to the Dreischusterhütte and back again. For experienced riders there is also the option of descending on a single trail, so there is plenty on offer for them too.

The tour leads us through the Sesto valley up to the Dreischusterhütte hut and can be done well with families due to its moderate ascent and many resting opportunities. Along the stream and the woods we can enjoy nature to the fullest and pass a reservoir before we can indulge in South Tyrolean delicacies at the Dreischusterhütte. After enjoying the magnificent view, we return to the valley on a single trail. However, this trail requires some technical skills, so it should only be ridden by experienced bikers. Those who do not feel able to master this single trail or are travelling with the family should rather choose the road back to Sesto and then return to the campsite - our starting point.

Camping Sesto

Turn-by-turn directions

We start our tour at the campsite in Sesto and cycle in the direction of Moos. Then we follow the path to Sexten. There we turn left onto the cycle path in the direction of the reservoir and follow it to the Säge inn. A few 100 metres after the inn, we turn left in the direction of Innerfeldtal and follow the path to the Dreischusterhütte. On the way back it depends on whether we decide to take the single trail or the easier way back to Sesto. For the single trail, we head for hiking trail no. 4 and no. 105 to Sesto. Otherwise we simply cycle back to Sesto on the same road. When we arrive in Sesto, we take the same road via Moos back to the campsite where we started our tour.

On the map there are other, small alternatives that we can use to make our tour more varied.
