Discover the Mendola pass and its surroundings on an exciting and mostly unfrequented asphalt road. After reaching the peak of the mountain Penegal you can enjoy the 360° view and the panorama of Bolzano, the lake Caldaro, the valley Adige, mountain Sciliar, the Catinaccio and the Roda de Vaèl.
Starting at the Mendola pass, you continue on the asphalt road above the cable car. Follow the signs to the “Enzianhütte” and continue on the asphalt road which eventually becomes steeper and gravelled (No. 500). Turn right onto a gravelled road close to the junction and you will shortly reach the village Campi Golf and the restaurant “Roen Stube”, close to the chairlift to the mountain Roen. You go back to the Mendola pass on an asphalt road. You start your descent to your left on the main road until you reach a small chapel on the left side and a junction with the path to Ruffrè. You continue downhill to a cemetery prior to a tunnel. Here you turn left and follow the signs to “Coflari Ranch” and pass it.
Then you go around the first building on the left side and continue on the gravelled road downwards until you reach the farm “Michei di Ruffrè”. Here you turn left onto a gravelled road past some vegetable gardens. Then you circle around the lakes near the farms of
