Challenging trails on the Sonnenberg high above Laas
The tour promises top downhill fun, especially for experienced trail riders. Challenging, partially blocked and exposed single trails along the slope lead us rapidly down into the valley. A stop at St. Peter's Church high above the valley is definitely worthwhile. From here we have a gigantic view that stretches across the Vinschgau Valley to the impressive glacier landscape around the Ortler.

The road from Laas via Allitz is constantly steep and offers great views. After a first short flat section, the Paflur inn is almost perfect for a stop. But there are still a few metres of altitude to climb before we finally make it to the Oberfrinig farm. From here, the route goes downhill on a wide forest path, before the challenging part of the tour begins shortly before the church of St. Peter, which is located on a rocky outcrop. Technically difficult single trails lead us along the slope of the Sonnenberg towards the valley, some of them exposed. Only at the end does it get much easier. In a roaring ride, we come back to the road above Laas via flat, extremely flowing forest paths.
