At a first glance this tour presents the same sort of vertical metres that are achieved on an average tour; however, the hike-a-bike sections and trails are tough and will impact and affect both physical strength and riding skills.

These challenging sections are the price paid to enjoy the peace- ful solitude of the Val Dona. the route requires a good deal of concentration. the Rifugio Dona rewards all efforts with a natural spectacle and plenty of good, healthy food. Afterward, there are still 300 vertical metres to Passo ciaregole and a challenging downhill section in the Val Duron waiting. on the other hand the ride along the valley to the Rifugio Micheluzzi is smooth and easy, with the Sassolungo group to the north and the catinaccio to the west. From the refuge the descent back down into the valley is a steep downhill adventure. Itinerary description MtB route n. 211 (sign-posted). Set off from the water park in canazei ➊ 1440 m. Keep on the right bank of the river Avisio and head toward the crossing ➋, stay to left to get to a ➌, turn right and carry on the valley path up to a dead end ➍, stay to the left here, and continue to the “col Rodella“ cable car valley station ➎ 1410 m.
