At the foot of the Sciliar

From Fiè travelling on an asphalt road you reach Umes. You then carry on along easy forestry trails until Moarmühler. In certain points that unravel under the cliffs of the Monte Cavone and Corda del Maglio you feel a sense of oppression. Here starts the long ascent, through umbriferous woods, that takes to the Tschafonleger.  The view is fantastic from up there! Beautiful wood trails guarantee a safe and easy descent to a well-deserved break at the Albergo Schönblick/Bellavista hotel. After two brief ascents you reach the Tschötscher farm house, the Schnaggenkreuz cross and the Umes sawmill. The old Umes road guides you back to the starting point at Fiè allo Sciliar.
