Fun at the lake.
The Carezza lake, with the summits of the Latemar and Catinaccio as a backdrop, is considered one of the most beautiful lakes of the Alpes. The tour of the lake should be done early morning or late afternoon as these are the optimal times to truly enjoy this magnificent scenery undisturbed.

The Majestic Latemar’s reflection can be seen in the emerald water of the lake, in the woods the birds chirp and the pleasant fresh air of the alpine altitude cools you down after the effort made to reach this idyllic destination. Do not forget to bring your camera! It is advised to take a break in one of the many places providing food and beverages and an amazing view on the Catinaccio and surroundings. Itinerary description Start itinerary at the Lärchenwald hotel ➊ 1290 m and uphill along an asphalt road to Waldpeter  ➋, proceed along trail N.1, beautiful forestry road, until the Fosse del Lupo ➌ 1490 m. Turn left and go slightly uphill, pass by the Schiller farm house ➍ 1150 m, always on a slight incline, reach the Nigra mountain pass ➎ 1680 m. From here continue to the right, on a beautiful panoramic route, pass by the Frommer alpine hut ➏ 1740 m, arrive at the crossroads just under the Costalunga mountain pass ➐.
